MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international inroads into the Latin popular music scene. In 2016, his hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. In 2017, he released ADN The First Long-Player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It peaked at number eight on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he joined Ozuna for The Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel for Mala Influencia and debuted the album Dopamina that year. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on TINI's streaming popular single Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was raised in a family of musicians the mother of his younger brother and father also are musicians. In interviews he's talked about his involvement in music as mandatory. At the age of a young child, he started learning to play saxophone guitar ukulele as well as piano. His first career choice was to be a veterinarian But his older brother Julian was able to convince him to sing with a Cuban teacher. In the end, learning that he possessed an aptitude for singing, changed the direction of his life.
