Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. They moved to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five where she attended at the Dragon School. Emma was just six when she decided she wanted to be an actor. She was trained for many years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she was taught acting as well as singing. By the time she turned 10, Emma had taken part in many Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel was first cast in 1999. Emma was identified by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theater teacher. After eight consistent auditions director David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast for the roles of the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's screen debut came with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's premiere in 2001. The film is 2001's top production, and it broke records at the opening and the very first weekend. The film has been praised by critics for its film and the performances by the three young actors. The Daily Telegraph, a well-read British paper, praised her for her performance. Emma's performance received nominations and won five awards later for the film.
